October Birthdays & Loy Kratong

What is Loy Krathong? Krathong is a Thai term which refers to a piece of banana trunk decorated with flowers, banana leaves, candle and incense sticks. The word Loy means to float. When put together, those two terms simply mean floating banana trunk festival.

What a party!

Each month at The Good Shepherd Learning Centre, we celebrate birthdays of students and teachers alike. This October, party day happened to fall on the same day as Loy Kratong.
