Income Generation Program Development to empower women and children
Following the development stages of the empowerment programs to support vulnerable communities of Phuket, on August 14th, Sister Lakana, together with the staff team, volunteers, students, and generous support of donors has opened a healthy juice and coffee Sister Cafe and GS Beauty Salon πββοΈ in the Blue House Vocational Training Center.
Since opening in 2014, we have worked to help children and women gain skills that would help them to secure financial stability for themselves and their families. More than 1000 have attended the vocational training for hairdressing, and to support their development, we have opened a beauty salon, where women who received training at our center can work and earn income.
At the Sister Cafe, children and women were trained to make healthy juices and coffee, which is provided by Chiang Mai indigenous tribes people and the revenue for the coffee sales goes to support their community.
Today, Father visited the center with the blessings of the house and to join our celebration.
We want to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who have helped us, sponsors, volunteers and staff team. It is with your help we could give children and women of our community a chance to earn income and gain financial stability.
We welcome you at the Sister Cafe and GS Beauty Salon every day from 8 am to 8 pm.
