Community Empowerment Activities

Most Burmese migrants, especially those who entered Thailand through irregular means, have no choice but to accept dirty, difficult, and dangerous (3Ds), which Thai nationals do not readily accept.

To be effective in its focus on protecting the human rights of Burmese migrant children and their families, the GS Centre Phuket Town  has three main activity focuses:

a.     Provision of basic literacy skills

b.     Community nursing

c.     Community empowerment activities
